The other day I mentioned that my Adsense earnings were up by 30% on this blog. I figured today would be a great day to tell you how I made more money from Adsense.

After I found another great way to increase Google performance, I had been thinking about ways to boost my Adsense earnings and created a plan to implement some changes and do a test run, right here on this blog.

If you have been reading the blog very long, you probably remember the Adsense ads used to have purple links. During my testing of my Adsense ads, I decided to change the link color for my 160×600 ad directly to your right to the teal/green color in the new logo. I also change the link color for the 468×60 ad that appears on the home page only to the same teal/green color.

I left the other adsense ad alone while I was testing out those changes and decided to leave the ad’s where I had them for now. I figured if I did not see a big change I could start to play with the position of the ad’s lateron. Within about 3 weeks of the link color change, I noticed a jump in clicks by 30%. That is a big difference for such a simple change. I did not change the Adsense on any of my other sites, as I was going to use this blog as my test.

So either the color is more appealing to people now or the ad’s jump out a bit more at people. To be honest I care less what one it is, as it has increased my income and that was my goal. I’m still debating now on changing some ad sizes and possibally moving some of the ads around to see if that will help any as well.

I will be changing some color schemes on my other blogs this week as well to see if I will increase my Google Adsense earnings on those blogs as well.
