People see banners on a daily basis, so content will be king when it comes to promoting a product. Your custom needs to understand what the product is and what it can do for them before they will be eager to click on the banner. If you are not sure what to write about, make a list of 5 reasons the product can benefit the customer, or even do a review. People love reviews with positive and negative mixed in.
Promoting too many products or offers- Many affiliates believe if they have more banners or buttons the better, when this is not true. Giving to many options is just as bad as not having enough. When you offer to many products it confuses people and they are not as likely to make a choice. The result is the affiliate loosing money from no sale or lead capture. They key here is to offer a few products or offers but not 10 different ones. Lets say you are promoting “natural make-up” for an example. Offer 5 or 6 at max options for people to view. This will allow them to select the one that is the most interesting to them and not have them feeling overwhealmed with options.
Thinking affiliate marketing is easy- There is nothing easy about affiliate marketing. So if you have been thinking you will slap up a few websites with affiliate products and get rich think again!
